Karen and Jasen Willenbrink-Johnsen, a husband and wife team, are equally accomplished glass artists who share a love of nature and bird watching. They work collaboratively to find ways to translate the colors, patterns, and textures of flora, rocks, and animals into amazing glass sculptures. And the friends they have invited for this group exhibition are all prominent glass artists in the Pacific Northwest known for sculpting stately glass birds and other natural forms.
The “Willenbrink-Johnsen Invitational” is in the main gallery from Oct. 3 to Nov. 2. Opening reception is 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 10.
